Dear Court Members
It is a sad day for us to be American, upon hearing that an ICC member from
Canada was denied entrance into the United States because of his HIV status.
Needless to say we are outraged by this action of our government. We were
all under the impression that this policy was not being enforced.
We apologize to HISM Emperor Martin Storm of the Imperial Court of Surrey,
BC for the heinous policies of our country. We take this permanent ban of
entrance into our country for a member of our organization as unacceptable and
an outrage.
We are committed to look into this situation and have contacted members of
the House of Representatives and the Senate expressing our disgust and
demanding that this policy be changed. We are going to work with Egale of Canada
and
the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force on this issue.
Further, it has been proposed that during the Vancouver, BC Coronation
Weekend, there be a demonstration against this American policy on both sides of
the border, with GLBT, HIV/Aids and Health Organizations. We will keep you
posted and we commit to you that this issue will be a major priority for both
of us
