November 11 2008 - 90 years after the end of
World War 1
It is hard to believe that is only 1 year ago today, that the greatest nation on
earth refused me entry on the grounds that I was and HIV +.- A DAY TO REMEMBER
It is hard to believe that this November 4th the United States elected it's
first African American as it's new President. - A Day to Remember
It is hard to believe that this November 4th the State of California voted in
favor to remove the rights of marriage from couples of the same sex. - A Day to
Remember
It is hard to believe that this November 4th other states voted in favor of not
allowing adoptions for same sex couples. - A Day to Remember
It is hard to believe in 2008 that we are in this economic meltdown. A Day to
Remember
It is hard to believe in 2008 that we still have so many labels and so much
prejudice for minorities.- A Day to Remember
Perhaps it is time to fight for ALL human and civil rights throughout or world
without labels. Labels appear to be the primary cause of prejudice. We are not
born with prejudice.
Prejudice is thought to us by those who cannot live with their own fears.
Tolerance and acceptance of others are Christian, Jewish and Muslim values.
It is hard to believe in 2008 that fear and intolerance are still weapons used
to create mass hysteria and fear in our "free world"!
I would hate to think what it would have been like if the armed forces of the
world stayed home throughout the years and ignored; That governments let
genocide that is happening in Darfur today
go unpunished throughout history.
Thank you to veterans all over the world, from all countries of all faiths,
color and social background for defending the rights of ALL throughout this
planet of ours.
We have faith in those that have gone before us and new hope in those that are
about to ascend the seats of power - a hope that this too will be a DAY TO
REMEMBER, a day when the world changed for the better and NO ONE is treated any
differently that anyone else.
WE MUST NEVER FORGET!!!!!
